New Ferrari Dino details

New rendering of the Ferrari Dino small car. The 2+2 four-seater will follow a front-engined rear drive layout with a 4.2L V8 as the powerplant of choice, although there’s talk of a small capacity V6 engine also on the cards. Look for a conventional steel monocoque chassis with the engine placed well behind the front-axle for improved weight distribution.

Yeah, it's a photoshop but it looks interesting.

Is there really a market for all of these semi-supercars, or are these automakers (BMW, DiamlerChrysler, Ford, and VW group especially) oversaturating the world with $100,000 plus vehicles and simultaneously ruining the reputation of what were exclusive premium brands?

I think this is an amazing idea for a Ferrari; it is very good looking to boot.

Ferrari could use a sexy little roadster or 2+2. This will NOT hurt their reputation at all. Dig up my grave when Ferrari's reputation is hurt by a $100+ USD sexy, fast, FERRARI, sports car.

Why does everything need to be BIG for it to be recognized? People have the wildest preconceptions.

What a horrible idea.

Wasn't the Dino badge used in the past to denote six cylinders? The old Dino doesn't even have a Ferrari badge, it was done as a memorial to Enzo Ferrrari's son. Also was the first mid-engined production road car built by Ferrari.

Ferrari doesn't need to leverage this market area, it may just muddy the brand. This needs to be an Alfa or something.

This needs to be sold in North America regardless of whether it is an Alfa or Ferrari. I sure love Alfas though. :)
