Rumors: 2018 Honda HR-V - Redesign

Rumors: 2018 Honda HR-V - Redesign
Honda announced it is going to redesign numerous models in the following years and one of them is HR-V. This car cannot brag with a long history and it is not a legendary vehicle. However, don’t doubt it has a lot to offer. It debuted in 1998 as a three-door crossover, but the production was discontinued for almost a decade. The second generation came completely redesigned and instead of the 3-door SUV we got a 5-door subcompact crossover. It had a huge success in its first year since over $41,000 units were sold. They hope the future model will continue this trend and the 2018 Honda HR-V is already in focus.

Should do well in the UK

They should ditch it here in the US. The CRV is killing it here and there really isn't a need for the HRV.

Lay off the meth.

This segment is of MASSIVE importance. With just under 100K units of the HRV sold in North America, ditching it would be asinine for Honda.

Jeep is already doing well with the Renegade and the Compass is icing on the cake in the segment.

The "bold" Kona and the handsome Stonic coming, show that Hyundai-Kia wants some of the market.

The CHR is too new to do a baseline yet, but interest in it is strong.

The Trax sells well.

VW and Ford are hoping for some success.

Honda needs to make the dowdy HRV more handsome, but I fear they will make it garish instead.
