2019 Honda S2000 is just what Honda's sport division needs.
The S2000 became one of the most desired Japanese roadsters in the past 10 years thanks to its nearly perfect chassis and highly reliable engine. Unfortunately the last car was made back in 2009 and since then there haven’t been many news about it. Back in 2015 the first rumors about a new model have surfaced while more recently, rumors about the 2019 Honda S2000 started to make a lot more sense. It seems that Honda wants to cash-in on the success of the Acura NSX meaning that the S2000 will most likely use the same design scheme. There have been a lot on news about dealers wanting a high horsepower $20,000 sports car and the S2000 might be just that. However, the price will be a bit higher, but more on that later.

For some reason, that styling on a vehicle costing a bit north of $20,000 looks right to me. Nicely done Honda... assuming it happens in 3 years instead of 8.

I just feel that same styling on a vehicle costing north of $150,000 isn't such a good thing.

There were three major problems with the S2000 that need to be remedied.

1. The price was utterly ridiculous at $5-7K over what the market would bear for a Honda.
2. Acura needed some spice, so of course the S2000 went to Honda.
3. The engine was a thrashy NVH disaster. The new one needs a 4 cylinder turbo (sport) and V6 (touring) options.

Honda needs NOT to use ANY electrocrap on the drivetrain.
