STUD OR DUD? 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé Caught Testing Before Detroit Debut
The two-door version of the E-Class saloon is aimed squarely at the BMW 6 Series and Audi A5, and has hit the road in a final round of durability testing prior to a planned premiere for the svelte two-door at the Detroit motor show in early January 2017. The 2017-model-year Mercedes-Benz E-Class coupe forms the basis of an all-new E-Class cabriolet.

This is also set to go on UK sale next year, it continues to feature a fabric hood as well as a two-plus-two seating layout.

I'm really liking the basic shape and lines. The only thing I don't care for in today's Mercedes is the headlights. They look excessively "blingy" with lots of detailed LED points of light (like Audi's old "Angel Eyes" design) and/or lacking design cohesion with distracting bold LED lines and swipes.

I'd add another vote to Lookin' Goood :-)

Yawn.... the C / E & S are nearly identical in profile and style. While I understand "family resemblance" is there no other design that is compelling. So you get one coupe, small, medium or large... have it you way... sort of... bored with all of them...
