#SEMA: Federal Marshals Raid Two Exhibitor Booths And Seize Aftermarket Parts
Two Chinese companies have had their SEMA booths raided and parts seized by federal marshals on allegations of copyright infringement.

In an emergency suit filed in the U.S. District Court in Nevada on Tuesday, aftermarket Jeep parts manufacturer Omix-ADA said the Chinese firms were displaying and selling knocks-offs of a plethora its patented parts.

One problem with trade with China is the speed at which the local "manufacturers" openly knock off all sorts of merchandise - as well as software and games. While in some big cities there is a public attempt to control some of this - in a country where they knock off whole cars and Suvs - without government intervention - the underground of knocked-off parts will never be extinguished. At least it is nice to see that in the USA - we are at least taking steps to prevent SOME of that JUNK from coming here.
