#LAAutoShow : Audi Reveals A5 Cabriolet Ahead Of LA Auto Show Debut
The Audi A5 Cabriolet has been revealed prior to making its official public debut at the Los Angeles motor show on 14 November.

Due to reach the UK in March 2017, the four-seater A5 adopts the same platform as its fixed roof sibling, the recently introduced A5 Coupé. With increased use of hot-formed high-strength steel, the so-called MLB Evolution structure is claimed to provide a significant improvement in overall rigidity compared to the earlier platform, providing the new A5 Cabriolet with more agile handling and greater levels of comfort than before.

Are we sure this is the new A5 not the last generation (sic)?

Somewhere around 2012, the A5 looked gorgeous (to MY eyes). Since then, Audi has lost whatever magic that car had. The new generation A5's exterior hasn't recaptured it, either. Specifics I don't care for:
- The sharp shoulder-line crease
- The abundance of hood creases
- The face -- "Design by ruler"
- Cheap-looking (Volkswagen-ish) headlights and tail lights

I like how the grille comes forward, away from the headlights. MB also does this. In contrast to BMW "flush" grille with the lights touching it. My 2013 X5 has this look, unlike current X5, 5 and 7 series.

I think it looks very nice and as always Audi has done a beautiful with changes to the interior. Quality craftsmanship, good use of materials and a nice update inside.
