#LAAUTOSHOW : Genesis To Debut G80 Sport Aiming DIRECTLY At BMW
An anonymous source at Genesis has confirmed to CarBuzz that a new model, the G80 Sport, is headed to the automaker’s US lineup and will make its debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. The G80 Sport is technically a trim, but when you only sell two vehicles a sporty new trim might as well be a new model entirely. If you follow the South Korean automotive industry you’ll remember that the G80 Sport made its debut this past summer at the Busan Motor Show.

The enhanced front-end styling looks good. I wish they bumped up the output of the 6-cylinder engine for the Sport.

Rumor has it that an "M5" version is in the works with a pumped-up V8.

Competition is good. Hyundai upping their game is good. If they end up presenting BMW with a serious challenge, that would be good, too. Somehow, I don't think that the time has come for BMW to quake in their boots at the sound of Hyundai rounding the bend.

Still, really good progress for Hyundai. And I applaud you for not making an ugly car!!!

BMW is pretty off game at the moment, so matching them will be easy. The Genesis/Genesis G80 is a tremendous vehicle to begin with.

I have never dreamed, drooled or jizzed over a Hyundai nor will I ever in one either. Great automotive design "fires the loins" (gotta have it/gotta screw it -mentality) even if impracticable, unreliable or unaffordable (car) even if impracticable, unreliable or unaffordable (ho). This car/brand leaves me sterile or want to take the bus.

It's OK to be a limited thinker without the intelligence to see true brilliance. Go buy a Giulia but don't b!+cH when its a quality turd pile.

I--for one--am glad that customers don't "jizz" in the show room. Isn't jizzing over things what 12 year olds do?

Oh wait! Now I get it.
