2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4MATIC Fills the Gap Between the GLA45 and GLE63
In the beginning of 2016 Mercedes confirmed the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4MATIC that would bridge the large price gap between the GLA45 and GLE63. It was unrealistic to expect that if the customers wanted a larger SUV than the GLA45, which was priced at $49,580, they would have to opt for a $99,950 for the GLE63.

The Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers declared: “With the new AMG GLC43 we are offering an AMG model in the mid-size SUV segment for the first time. The new SUV from Affalterbach marks the pinnacle of the GLC product range and in the AMG portfolio, it closes the gap between the GLA and GLE. ”

This is not the car that is filling the gap between the GLA45 and GLE63. That will be the GLC63 that should be forthcoming.

OK. We get that MB vehicles are "connected" vehicles. No need to use stuck-on tablets to make your point. PUT THE SCREENS BACK INTO THE DASH WHERE THEY BELONG. They look fu*king stupid and ruin the interior of the vehicles.

A lot of brands seem to be moving to this type of setup. From an accessibility standpoint, it's much easier for servicers to access the screens vs. having to rip apart the entire dash just to get to the screen. So, in the end, it's probably saving money and time despite its aesthetic challenges. In addition, the screens are getting larger in many/most cases, and having that embedded into the dash just makes a huge lump that is actually worse than the free-standing setup.

This car will be what $75K or more... forget it. MB pricing is getting ridiculous. MB cars are no longer the "cost is no object" engineered cars they once were. I'd say they're actually over priced cars that are not even the best in their class. This GLC looks no better than a Hyundai and its technology is probably not even as good? MB is selling their drivers aids but how is the car that carries these gizmos? The new E only comes with a buzzy 4 and is $70K without leather whereas the new G80 Genesis has a V8 and is loaded for about $55-$60K? You're paying for the star... thats it... count me out...

No, it won't top out for more than $70k, loaded to the gills. Starts at $54k and can easily be had for $60-$65k with nice add-ons.
