REPORT: 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera accelerates to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds!

The Carrera is the entry-level Porsche 911. With 370 horsepower, Car And Driver boasted a 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds! Five years ago, that would have been Ferrari 458 and Corvette ZR1 territory, but today, it's common and normal to have such a quick time. Now, even non-exotic cars like the Tesla Model S P85D and P100D and several Audi RS and Mercedes-AMG vehicles accelerate to 60 in under 4 seconds. What's even more impressive? 0-100 mph in 8.5 seconds with 370 hp and barely under 9 pounds per horsepower! It also completes a quarter-mile run in 11.9 seconds at 118 mph, according to the magazine.
