Two Days After Trump Win, Automakers Were Already Pleading For Revision Of Fuel Economy And Greenhouse Rules

During the Obama administration, all American manufacturers seemed to agree that they need to introduce some kind of electrification in their range of vehicles - at least on a declarative level. It turns out that was not out of conviction, but simply because the rules told them so.

Nobody's naive enough to believe that a hugely profitable business like that of making cars would willingly start investing in alternative propulsion systems as long as there was still plenty of fossil fuel to go around. That would take billions of dollars, and that's billions of dollars out of the pockets of those who control these companies.

I see a rollback happening as these executive orders and executive directives to the EPA are not law. There is no reason we need to have cars with what 52mpg other than control. There is no gas shortage and there is no "global warming".

His Daughter is an executive in his business's as well as the campaign. Trump employed KellyAnne Conway as his campaign director, the first woman to successfully manage a presidential campaign to an astounding victory I might add. If you're saying Trump doesn't want women to work, then why aren't his business's completely staffed with white guys? You've proven what an idiot you are. I can't take anyone seriously that actually believes global warming doesn't exist. I don't think the world will end tomorrow or even 100 years from now, but there is a scientifically measured impact. It is not as extreme as what "alarmists" make it out to be, but is is measurable.

I don't really agree with CAFE standards, if people want a car that gets 2mpg I don't really care, but I do want what comes out of the tailpipe to be 0 impact to the earth and I. No particulates and no other pollutants…keep tightening the pollution standards.
