Suzuki-Will their car and truck reputation soon match its motorcycles?

“If you look at the motorcycles, it is not just that they happen to be on two wheels but the kind of experience they provide is well known, that they are great vehicles that are fun to operate and own,” said Gene Brown, vp-marketing, American Suzuki Motor Corp. Suzuki motorcycle and scooter sales hit 140,000 last year compared with 82,000 vehicles, which Brown said puts the auto division in a “stronger position to sell the vehicles.”

Have they been putting Yamaha engines in their motorcycles? Their voume leader XL7 will have a GM engine. Until they put their own stamp on everything they will continue to be a bit player in the automotive market.

Suzuki rules the streets there- I'm sure their small cars sell better than everyone else's in China.

What's the new Swift? Do you mean the SX4? I thought the Swift was discontinued.

Why don't they try their hand at a truck that gets at least 25 mpg. No one else can seem to pull it off....
