The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan is the car that was missing in the market. If you want to purchase a large plug-in hybrid vehicle, you don’t have a lot of options. The Highlander and the Volvo XC90 T8 are some of the choices. However, the former offers hybrid, but not the plug-in, whereas the latter one is too expensive. I am not convinced that a "plug-in" hybrid has any real advantage over a regular hybrid. Frankly - and driving a Hybrid as a company car - I would prefer the lack of need to plug-in the car every night - which is a disadvantage to me - who does a lot of traveling long distances. Often I start off from home and travel from motel to motel during the week- where the needed hook-ups are unlikely to be found. On the "engine" alone - the plug ins don't offer any better mileage - while at least the regular hybrid.
