2018 Ford Mustang details leaked: 10-speed auto, fancy shocks, and no more V6?

The spy photos we've seen of the 2018 Mustang facelift – and there have been a lot of them – don't tell us a whole heck of a lot. The car is likely to get new head- and taillights and maybe some restyled bumpers. There will, however be some significant changes to the pony car's options – Mustang6G has the details courtesy of some sleuthing done by one of its forum members.

You can find out a lot about a new car with a little spare time and access to a dealer ordering computer. One is that the V6 may no longer be offered, as the code previously used for it reportedly comes up as invalid in the computer.

There are more than a few customers who PREFER the V6 to the Ecoboost, but Ford won't let you put the goodies on the V6 so you're forced to go with the Ecoboost if the 5.0 isn't your thing.

I'm hoping the Fusion face is deleted and something more in line with Mustang heritage shows up.
