Ford's Brazilian Eurosport Spotted in Hollwood

This picture was taken in Hollywood and the big question is why is it here? The Brazilian Ecosport is not sold in the US (yet), but is pretty much everywhere else. So will Ford bring this model to the US as a replacement for the Escape?

What makes it "Brazilian"? I know its been sold in Mexico for the past few years. If you live anywhere near San Diego, you should see a few every month. I saw one in Irvine about a week ago. It's actually very cool looking and I do think it would sell a lot here especially with the current gas prices.

it is brazilian because it is built in brazil. Although it has had a lot of acceptance in Mexico, Ford has not confirmed plans on making it in Mexico.
