Best Nine Months in Audi's History

Sales to end of September up 8.4 percent
- Best September ever: 83,200 vehicles delivered worldwide
- Sales growth in China and USA
- Audi increases sales forecast to 890,000 vehicles

Audi sold 684,700 vehicles worldwide in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 8.4 percent compared with the same period of the previous year (January to September 2005: 631,560). Audi likewise established a new sales record for September itself, with 83,200 vehicles delivered to their new owners, a gain of 7.3 percent on the same month of 2005. BTW, IamEvilHomer you got the R8 on a flatbed pictures posted before I did. Also, Audi has really not had that much advertising for the Q7 (as apposed to what was expected) especailly when compared with similar vehicles such as the Mercedes Benz GL 450.

The Q7 is not selling well in the US though. An article on Autoweek reports that initially Audi had planned to sell 50% of all Q7s in the US but has now cut back the shipments to 30% as the Q7 's sales numbers in the US have been disappointing.

MBrules - Q7 sales are doing so well in the world that Audi cut back in the USA where they have the lowest profit (dollar value etc)

the Q7 has sold well for us but the 4 dollar gas on the launch day didn't help :)

I've seen more and more Q7s each day, that I have no idea how that could be true.

In my OC-ish suburban area, they are outselling the coveted Range Rover Sport, but not the grand Range Rover.
