Bentley Bentayga already recalled for loose seat and instrument panel
Bentley is well-known for its master skills of creating posh vehicles like the Bentayga, and designing unique features like a bespoke fishing set or a picnic. But apparently the company is not good enough at… mounting the seats of the SUV to the floor.

Production of the vehicle at the British brand’s Crew factory started a year ago and first deliveries were fact in March this year. Now, Bentley has announced a recall for certain 2017 model year examples sold in the United States, because “during the assembly process, the affected vehicles may not have had the seat mechanism and instrument panel joints properly tightened.” If that happens, the bolts can loosen, “increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.”

Did VW ever solve their problem of loose screws and bolts falling off?

My mom used to have a 1990's Passat and every time you sat in the front seat, there was always a mysterious screw, nut, or bolt down there in the foot well. My roommate in college had a GTI and the same was true.

Has ANYONE seen a Bentayga on the road? I have not seen an actual customer car on the road. I did take a test drive in one at Bentley Manhattan and the saleman told me, that he could sell me the demo vehicle if I liked the color.

Whatever happened to VW/Bentley's statements about the Bentayga being 'sold out' for the first 18 months of production.

Flop? I'd say so. Thoughts?

Ha! I saw this one coming but Bentayga owners usually have 4 more cars so that's not a problem. Touareg drivers on the other hand are screwed with an unreliable piece of junk that is their daily driver.
