IF The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Has Been CANCELED, Is THIS One Of The WORST Decisions FCA Has Made?
Let me start off this story by being 100 percent clear. As of now this is pure speculation. Really, it's a rumor. According to a source, which I have never used previously, the all-new Jeep Grand Wagoneer has been cancelled.

This strikes me as peculiar for a couple reasons:

1) The Grand Wagoneer has been teased during a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' (FCA) dealer meeting; and,

2) The Grand Wagoneer has been discussed by the head of Jeep quite a bit.

So, what gives?

Considering the super luxury sport-utility vehicle market is ripe with plenty of interest from today's consumer, it seems like Jeep may be able to establish itself in a new market. With seven-seaters getting snapped up left and right for big bucks, it is almost a no brainer.

BUT, if Jeep decided cancel this project, would YOU consider this one of the WORST decisions FCA's made? Keep in mind that the Jeep brand is the company's strongest.

If true, it's a great move - nobody with $100K+ to spend on an SUV is going to buy a Jeep....not with LR, Porsche, and others for that money...

Thinking that the 500 would be a big seller in the USA was the biggest mistake FCA made. Making a large SUV on the truck platform makes sense - that is where Ford and GM have made their top entries

The FCA swindle is coming to an end.

Fiat, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo failed to re-establish.

Dodge and Chrysler (except Pacifica) are left with doddering old product. The new Pacifica is getting its ass beaten in the market.

Jeep and Ram are OK, so selling them to Hyundai/Kia would be a good move at this point.

Really, the Pacifica is getting its ass kicked?

Seeing a ton of them — more than the Odyssey...

Will have to look at the #s...

@00R...sorry but the facts disagree with your "anecdotal data". Sales numbers average per month:

Caravan 15,351

Sienna 11,649

Odyssey 11,197

Pacifica 8,403

Pacifica moved 8.8k units in Nov. 2016

Odyssey moved 8k units in Nov. 2016

Sienna moved 9.3k units in Nov. 2016

Considering the Pacifica hasn't been on sale all of 2014, not sure an avg. is the best way to compare the figures.

Pretty sure the 500 was approved to come back at the time gas was over $3.00 pgl in the middle of the Obama yrs. I imagine if the price was still over $3 the 500 would be selling but fracking brought the price back to what we enjoy today. FCA needs to get this Grand Wagoneer out ASAP if only to build the value of Jeep if it is ultimately sold? Will people buy an $80-$100K Jeep, sure they will the Escalade sells very well and the GMC Denali XL starts at $72K and loaded pushes $90, thats for the GMC model. Why they haven't come out with a Dodge Ram Tahoe or Suburban is a total head scratcher as it should not take a ton of investment and the Ram is at it most competitive in the pickup wars. The Ram is a great looking truck. The profits on that alone would help product development. For all Marchionne's swager and the bravado on how smart he is he seems to be running this company on coast...
