AutoNation Blames Trump Election On Decision To Sell Potentially Dangerous Cars To Consumers

If a car/brand has an open recall and AutoNation has that dealer brand, they should be required to fix it before they sell it. Trump had nothing to do with this, what a jerk MJ is or who ever approved this. I for one will not buy from AutoNation because they want their customers to deal with this crap when they could provide great customer service by making sure all their cars are fixed. Creeps!

If you care to know...the legislation on vehicles with open recalls is has been stuck in congress since 2011. The legislation if enacted would've have made manufacturers, dealers, and rental car companies obligated to either repair or notify the consumers of a recall on the vehicle. Currently, we have no laws which stipulate that. So this bill is sitting in Congress just waiting for Republican president to come along and kill it because cost and profit will always come before peoples safety and lives. Now how is that for being a creep.

AutoNation and Carmax are borderline criminal. The reason AutoNation is doing what it is doing is that there is no financial case for them to do the recalls. If they have a Fusion with a recall, when the Ford dealer does the recall, the Ford dealer gets labor dollars from Ford to do the recall. AutoNation gets a big fat nothing.

Our dealers routinely perform recalls that are open because that's money in our pocket.
