Final call for 2017 Dodge Viper orders
If you’ve missed your chance to buy a brand new Dodge Viper, we have some good news. The American company will restart taking orders for its high-performance model by the end of the year, according to The Detroit News.

The order books for the 2017 Viper, the final model year for the car, were closed in early October, because the manufacturer needed some time to decide how many of them to build in total. Tim Kuniskis, head of Fiat Chrysler-North America passenger-car brands, explains:

I'm waiting for the lawsuit from the dealer that bought the "last" Vipers. Obviously owning the last Viper could command a price premium, but that's gone now that FCA is building more. How in hell does a company stop production and then suddenly "discover" more parts and restart production? So which is the "last" Viper? Lawsuit.

I can see that if the company went out of business and people cobbled together parts to make cars. As an example, the unfinished TVRs inside the factory when everything got shut down magically made it to the road as did some cobbled together from parts in the backyard of the factory.
