Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio vs BMW M4 vs Mercedes-AMG C63 Video Review

It's the acid test: can the brawny new 503bhp Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio survive a triple test against the turbocharged BMW M4 and V8-toting Mercedes-AMG C63?

CAR magazine's video review pits the three super-saloons against each other on the slippery country roads criss-crossing the foothills of south Wales.

I like the video review. Great cars. Don't know why but I always get the impression these British car reviews are well rounded whereas the American reviews try too hard to mimic Jeremy Clarkson and his Top Gear over the top style?

I agree regarding the difference in reviews. I feel like the European reviews (and not just from UK) look at things more objectively whereas US reviews tend to add a lot of subjectivity. I actually spend more time watching or reading non-US reviews for this reason. TBH, I feel like US reviewers sometimes just come off as whiney, critical, and negative.

Both sides of the pond try to give the appearance of saying a lot while also saying nothing. They take no stands on anything.

I started reading Road and Track and Car and Driver two decades ago as a kid. Road and Track used to be witty and insightful, but now it's dull and pedantic. Car and Driver used to be irreverent and snarky, but now it's self-absorbed with text written only for the editors of the magazine to congratulate themselves.

"dull and pedantic", "self-absorbed", "irreverent and snarky". You should start an auto magazine MDarringer, look like you're highly qualified.

Finish school and you may one day be as literate as I am. Keep up the good work.

No room in the back seat. None of the German Coupes or the Japanese for that matter, are practical in anyway. The C/E/S, A5, 4/6 Series, Infiniti and Lexus are all "GT Coupes" and simply 2 seaters. Why can't someone build a Coupe that is usable, like a 77 Grand Prix or 76 Cutlass. A "real" 4 seater coupe. Something like a CTS Coupe but not simply a 2 door, a coupe with style. Why not make a coupe that's different from these? A Lincoln Continental "Coupe" or a CTS Coupe.... Yes please!

All UK car magazines are "homers" supporting national brands over all others. However I believe OCTANE is the very best car magazine in every regard.
