I do not agree with the premise of the article - that the last concern of truck buyers was safety. In often being the larger and heavier vehicle - in an accident with other cars - trucks were inherently safer - just as large cars were once.

The article clearly mentions that it is the new HEADLIGHT standards that cause other trucks to fail to reach the highest honors - and not only is that a small problem - but also an easily fixed problem as well. Frankly - I would still - in an accident between a Honda Ridgeline and a GMC Heavy Duty - rather be in the GMC - and I believe that most "safety" experts would like the same as well

The Ridgeline is a pickup? I thought it was a minivan with an outdoor storage area.
