Tesla To Crackdown On Supercharger Abuse By Owners
Beyond announcing the end of unlimited free Supercharging and the change to ‘Supercharging credit program’, it looks like Tesla is preparing to introduce new measures to crack down on Supercharger abuse, especially Tesla owners leaving their vehicles at Supercharger stations for long periods of times after charging is over. Earlier this year, Tesla already started implementing a new message text-based alert system to deter owners from leaving their cars at Superchargers after reaching their preset charging requirements. Tesla would send a message text alerting the owner that charging is over and then again every 5 minutes until the vehicle is unplugged.

This is a very easy problem to solve. Allow each owner one hour at the supercharger. Put a credit card swipe machine at each supercharger which the owner must swipe at prior to charging. After 60 minutes are up they should start charging a progressively higher amount for cars that are left at the charger.

But that will make the snowflake, magic-unicorn moonbats who are saving the Earth's blood by driving Teslas angry and therefore another violent protest funded by George Soros will be needed.

I fear more violence by the Electric Cars Matter movement. Starbucks, nose-uppity boutiques, and reservations-only restaurants will be looted and destroyed because you know how those ECM people are. They destroy their own communities.

Somehow this has to be Trump's fault that Tesla owners are inconsiderate of others.

The discussion will be irrelevant when the cars are able to autonomously detach and move to an empty parking space when full. The new fees after 400 kWh will also help.
