Tesla's Musk Might Skip First Presidential Summit After Promising To Be A Part
Yesterday, Recode broke the news of the names of the attendees at a meeting of the top tech leaders with Donald Trump that is set to take place Wednesday in New York. Sources said attendees invited by the president-elect’s tech whisperer, Peter Thiel, would include Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Google CEO Larry Page and perhaps Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, along with other big names from Intel, Oracle, Cisco, IBM and more. One of the luminaries I purposely left off the list was tech’s biggest superstar, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who has been invited and is a longtime friend of Thiel from their PayPal days. That’s because sources I talked to said he had not yet accepted.

Because he knows Trump is going to kick his gravy-train-expecting-ass to the curb.

@HenryN I'm "young" but "I make bank yo!"

In fact, I make a stupidly ridiculous income.

I'm about making money.

And I do.

I watched Gillian's Island for the first time in 30 years and can confirm you guys are right, ocean level has not gone up a bit. Seems like the exact same climate it was 30 years ago.

No Batshit Bob, it's just that you and Mad Dog Mattie are having a friends only circle jerk in your own cesspool, and the rest of us are avoiding your DNA damaged flying spunk.

What I don't get from you two clowns, BobM and MDarringer, is that you claim to be successful businessmen who are happy with your life, but what you have shown on this board are nothing but hatred and anger. Psychoanalysis identifies that hatred grows out of fear. So what are you afraid of ? What are you angry at ? does your behavior change what the rest of us here think about you or will that reaffirm what we already know ?

Trump won, rah rah, we get it and move on.

You slammed Musk for wanting to see Trump (in earlier article), and you slam him again for not seeing Trump. Make up your mind and stick with it. Don't make fools out of yourselves.

You should check the news before posting. Anyway, I've had enough of your childish rants.

Time to move on.

@MD: since you are still young and foolish, I will give you a pass, but not so for Bob - he's old and still doesn't know his place. It may take some spanking for him to come around.

Hello Everybody - Just wanted to join in on all the fun.

First, Musk was apparently busy, tomorrow, on the day of the 'Presidential Summit' - apparently he was needed at the plant that day to hand-tighten some items on the production line.

In other news, according to FoxNews, the cause of that spectacular Model S fire in Biarritz France has been discovered... http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/09/09/bad-electrical-connection-blamed-for-tesla-model-s-fire-in-france/

The story states that...

A fire that destroyed a Tesla in France last month was caused by a loose electrical connection, according to the automaker. After a weeks-long investigation, a Tesla spokesman in France told Fox News that it has been determined that “the fire was caused by a bolted electrical connection that had been improperly tightened.” “Usually, these electrical connections are installed by a robot, but for this car this connection was installed manually. There has never been a similar incident in another one of our cars,” the spokesman said. The spokesman did not offer any further detail as to what the wire was connected to, or why it needed to be installed by a human. As its name implies, the Model S 90D has a battery pack that holds 90 kilowatt-hours of energy, enough to power the average American home for about three days, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

A handful of Teslas have caught fire due to damage to their battery packs or faulty electrical equipment unrelated to the incident in France, prompting updates to address each issue.

Apparently micro-manager Musk is taking his turn on the production line that day to hand-tighten some bolts himself to avoid less-skilled Tesla workers from mis-tightening the bolts, which could cause fires.

Tesla = Quality is Job #1 !
