Is this the ugliest Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet?

The drop top Mercedes S-Class is a truly magnificent thing. It’s effortlessly elegant, lavishly luxurious, and surprisingly entertaining to pedal.

Why on earth anyone would want to modify it beyond me but Merzig, Germany-based tuner Carlsson has anyway, creating a package of alterations it calls “Diospyros”.

No doubt you were immediately struck by the color, a pastel shade dubbed Carlsson Heritage Green. Though I think Mint Chip Ice Cream would be a more accurate moniker.

WHile the COLOR of this car is questionable at best - the actual car itself is no where near the worst of what Mercedes has made over the years.

Looks great to me, a good departure from the all too common black/white/blue/red etc.
