Look at the size of the quad exhausts. Either that car is small or those are huge for a stock car!

I really like the spoiler and the naca ducts. So is this car officially a competitor to the new M3 and IS500? It's about the right price range isn't it?

I remember the Infiniti dealers get really mad when it was announced to be sold as a Nissan here. However they did have merit, as a 70,000 Nissan could have image issues, but not if it had the Infiniti badge. Can you say badge snobs?

70k if roumord is ok pricing. Don't be a cheap ass seriosuly. You get what you pay for. History of the Skyline goes back ages. And these cars are the best of the best. It may be different now, but will see.

70k for a Nissan Skyline is a standard pricing which is legit. The R34 if converted in U.S or Canadian dollars form japan "New car cost. It would come to 80k U.S and 95k ish CDN....

Why would they do that? there both different models of a sports car, and have totaly different image to them. And different drving experience to them. Not to say price wise is different. It would be stupid to use a GTR to replace it.

Also they sell good together in Japan. Fairlady and GTR.

Sorry, but the Skyline has always been one of the best handling cars that money can buy. This blows away M3 handling.

You would never hear anybody who knew anything about cars say that a Skyline is nothing but a Japanese Corvette. That is plain and simple ignorance.

The front end looks like a 350Z but since it is Nissan/Infiniti influenced a blend of G35 and 350Z is apparent.

Wow in this case you couldn't be more biased. The skyline was designed for the track. You don't buy a GT-R to go drift, it would be outright too heavy with the all wheel drift. The Gt-R is designed to go to the limits at the track. Do you remember when the first skyline GT-R came out? It broke Porsche's stock car Nurburgring record,in place at the time. The new R34 Z-tune is faster around the track then a F360 challenge. If your trying to prove that the fastest cars are GT3 and M3 CSLs then you couldn't be more wrong again. Everybody is trying to go their fastest in their own way, there is no wrong way or right one.

If your trying to prove that the M3 CSL and GT3 are dedicated track cars... then you muffed up again. The R8 is a supercar, but like a Lamborghini there most likely will be a track edition later.

This for the badge snobs. If you compare apples to apples, this car will be able to smoke and out handle a R8, M3, and RS4.

To all you haters out there. The R8 is a lot uglier than the Skyline. It looks like an Audi TT stretched out with different rear and head lights. And those black side vents? Ugliness!!! 70K for a Nissan Skyline is reasonable, in fact, its what I expected to pay for one.

The new M3 probably will sell for less and will probably kill it on the track even if it has a little less hp. so i'll wait for that.

I dont care what u call it SKYUGLINE, GT-R, GT-Ape, G35, G20, or G38. Its still a skyline. like i say its another japanese corvette.

How are suppose to DRIFT without have the rite suspension. Spoilers and turbo is only a little effect. First before u could have a good drift u need to beat down on your car first. U just watch too much Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift.

Street racing is old, anybody with a car that runs can do that. Drifting is the next new big thing, that actually takes some skill to do.

Anyways, it's obvious that this car is not made for drifting primarily because it's all wheel drive. Everyone knows it's better to have a rear-wheel drive car to drift. That way it will supply power to the rear during the drift, making the driver hold the drift longer.

Oh yeah, and this looks way better than the boring and ugly R8.

If Nissan is able to sell this phenomenal performance icon for less than 80K, it would be a bargain!

There is a comment above, clearly from someone who has no knowledge of the history of this car. Something to the effect that the M3 will "kill" this car on the track. The legendary history of this car IS the track!! With 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, a light 6 cyliner Twin Turbo and over 450hp, this beast is very likely to blow the panties off the next generation M3. The M3 will have an eight cylinder to contend with and less power. It will have to rely on its two rear wheels to propel it and fight the front weight bias on turns.

This GT-R is the real deal; it will put many a so called performance sedans and coupes in their right place when it finally arrives on these shores.

It has as its performance targets, cars like the Porsche Turbo and the GT3 and the Audi R8 and not ordinary people haulers like the M3.

Yeah, just like all these domestic companies that have all the heritage and are "surviving." What problems at GM/Ford/Chrysler...everything is going great!

For that nimwad who is making fun of spoilers. I thought all cars came with spoilers. Look at the big spoilers on the Porsche's. Ain't that a spoiler? Lol. Open your eyes and analyze a bit better.

I've seen people do silly things with a so called "silly spoiler" in a Porsche. Why? They could afford one but not drive one.

I don't know what this car was built to compete against but it will be fast. You can not deny that. Just wait till it comes out first before jumping to conclusions about it's potential.

I love Porsche's, BMW's, Audi's, Merc, and etc but this Japanese vs European War is getting quite annoying. There are pros and cons to each brand and model. I just found it in me to respect all design & philosophy in the automotive world. That's why people enjoy CARS!

This is definitely a hot ride. However, with the upcoming Chevy Camaro and the possibly new Dodge Challenger about to hit the market, the Skyline will be in a fierce battle for consumers.

If I had to choose, I would probably go with the Chevy Camaro. The unique, yet retro look is amazing. The Skyline looks great as well, but it closely resembles the already popular 350Z.

Please don't call this Japanese CORVETTE, its a Japanese Ferrari
I think it will be just like a 350Z, a value leader and performance leader too,. I red some place, the pricing could star around 60-65 and top at 70-75k, that is not bad at all...

First and foremost i would like to clarify one thing about the GTR.It is always been a nissan so what price you put on it is irrelevant, if you want it badge as a nissan or as an infiniti.The platform that the car came from was base of a 4 door sedan.And in Japan and all over the world it is and will always be a car supercars will mimic, and use as a base platform.The new GTR, is of course derive off the 350 platform which it will be a true sportscar.All the length,measurements,and diameters are design for greatness.Resemblence of the z car is true but heritage to its roots.Godzilla will reign again.And all other will fail to realize it is not the price of perfection but to imbrace in immortality.All HAIL THE MIGHTY,MIGHTY,GTR!!!!!
