Alfa set to launch 350 hp Giulia Veloce

An entry in a Dutch parts catalogue suggest that Alfa is planning a rival to the Audi S4 and Mercedes-AMG C43.

There’s a rather large gap in the Alfa Romeo Giulia range. That’s the gap between the 276 horsepower (206 kilowatts) Giulia known as Veloce in Europe and Super in the United States, and the 505 hp (380 kW) Giulia Quadrifoglio.

quadrifoglio has been shipped to dealers...most are probably spoken for right now.

That's a bit of an overstatement. FCA has SAID the Giulia is on its way, but actual manifests are not showing that.

The end of January is more realistic.

What's going to hurt the Giulia big time is leading with the Quadrifoglio rather than base to mid-level models that can be leased well. The Quadrifoglio is foolishly priced, incentives are not planned, nor are sweetheart leases.

There is interest in the Giulia, but buyers willing to commit sight unseen just aren't there as they are for delicious morsels from the German trio.
