2018 Toyota Sienna – Hitting Back at Competition!
Toyota Sienna was one of the most popular minivans on the market. If you ask why it was and isn’t now, we will tell you. It was overrun by competition. For a segment which is intended for families and soccer moms the competition can be stingy. Honda upgraded its Odyssey and is preparing a 2018 MY while Chrysler introduced its new model Pacifica. Later one is currently considered best minivan on the market due to its design and technology solutions. That’s why the Japanese manufacturer needs to step the game up with 2018 Toyota Sienna.

How in hell is it "...overrun by competition...."

In YTD sales is outdistanced the Odyssey and sold nearly as well as the Dodge Caravan rental queen. On a monthly level it outdistanced the Chrysler Pathetica.

Granted the Sienna is long in tooth. The current "generation" is the previous "generation" with a modest restyling, and the current one is just deadly passe.

Indeed - Matt.

I believe that the Mini-Van has a market that will expand as the next generation has children - since it still cannot be beat as a people carrier. I note the Kia Sedonna - which was all the rage two years ago - is not even mentioned much - probably because you cannot remove the second row seats. Toyota has managed to sell virtually all of its cars with "questionable" styling - because of its reputation for reliability - and they will continue to do so with the Sienna. The new Pacifica is not that different from the older version from the steering wheel back as well.

Still a great vehicle, and the only one that has the unique variants of AWD and SE.

I dread whatever styling they come up with for the next one.

Toyota Sienna has lost me as a customer every year its been out. I want a AWD van that can carry a 4X8 sheet of plywood or family etc. I don't want a van that is only 47 3/4" wide and a bit over 8'. What a bunch of morons excluding customers by a 1/4"that need a cargo area that can handle a 4X8 sheet flat without damage in a AWD van. I had a dodge AWD van with a 4X8 cargo area and loved it. Listen up dodge if you want toyotas AWD van customers. Driving a 2011 Subaru and waiting for someone with a brain to come out with a AWD van that can handle my needs and move supplies and family as needed.
