Automakers Can't Wait To Blitz Your Windshield With Ads When In Autonomous Mode
As big as companies like Facebook and Google sound, in the end the two only exist because they are held hostage to advertisers. Now, Automotive News is reporting that we may soon live in a world where our quickly diminishing spaces of sanctity, the cockpit of our cars, could be sold off to advertisers looking to lure us to their rest stop on the side of the road instead of the other guy’s. At CES in Las Vegas, AN caught up with some of the companies behind this push.

I do not see that happening for Decades. At least for the near term - a driver is going to be required to take control in some instances when needed - and that will make this nonsense illegal.

Not a fan, but it could be a way to offset costs in the future. I'm thinking of Amazon Kindle, you pay an extra $30 or so for no adds or get a super low price with ads. It may help people that could not traditionally afford a car perhaps?
