2018 Ford Mustang GT - First Photos and Video!!!
2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and EcoBoost are here, and they have a new design, new ten-speed automatic transmission, and Shelby GT350 magnetic adaptive damper system. That’s not all; Ford has a lot more changes up its sleeve because that’s what’s necessary if they want to continue pony car wars with Camaro. The biggest upgrade is MagneRide magnetorheological adaptive dampers which will be shared across the range. Both EcoBoost and GT version of 2018 Ford Mustang will receive this equipment. This tech should improve Mustang’s handling and together with automatic transmission will do wonders for this ride.

Changes didn’t happen only on the performance segment but also the looks and design were significantly improved. The front end is lowered by a significant amount (20mm), and by doing this, the vehicle was given a more aggressive look. Grill is now more of a round shape, and it melts with the LED headlights in a more natural way. At the back, the diffuser is replaced on both models, while GT gets new decklid wing. On the inside nothing much has changed. The only noticeable thing is new infotainment 12inch display.

Another winner from the Ford guys!
I am eagerly waiting to hear about the new GT engine power output numbers.

This is a complete let down. What's the point of restyling a car if no one can see where it's been restyled.

On a positive note, persistent rumors say that Ford is not entirely an unwilling participant in Cosworth's tuning of the 5.0 for the TVR Griffith. TVR is claiming to be shooting for 500hp naturally aspirated. Given that the "voodoo" V8 is an evolution of the "coyote" it kind of makes you wonder what could be up.

I have the same scathing criticism of the 911, Pookins.

The styling is subtle but there if you look. I'm more interested in the suspension improvements and the availability of Magna-ride. The turbo 4 has more torque. I just hope they can make it sound better and give it better top end. I suspect the V8 will have over 450HP and 420LBs of torque. With the duel mass flywheel and a higher red line it might come close to the Camaro SS in acceleration and perhaps handling. The Mustang is way better looking than the Camaro. Perhaps Ford will bring some parity to its performance.

People "think" the turbo 4 is better than the V6, but the V6 is infinitely more refined than the coarse 2.3T. With the V6 gone, the only engine choice is the V8 because the 4 is too raspy to put up with.

Not impressed with the new look...the front end looks like its sagging. The profile isn't bad, but overall they are trying to mix too many sharp angles and curves and to me it looks a little muddled, design wise.

I expect the GT350 version of this update will look less busy below the headlights. I do like all the changes above the bumper.
