Trump Says He Will Trade Excessive Regulations For More Jobs

President Donald Trump told the CEOs of automakers Tuesday that he wants to ease regulations to help auto companies.

Trump said he wanted to create a regulatory climate that “makes the process simpler for the auto industry,” after a meeting with executives from Detroit’s Big Three: Ford Motor Co. President and CEO Mark Fields, General Motors Co. Chairman and CEO Mary Barra and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV CEO Sergio Marchionne. “I think you’re going to see it go from inhospitable to extremely hospitable,” he said.

In my opinion, Trump doesn't care about people. He cares about profit. Remember, he's the guy who used legal proceedings to get an elderly woman out of her long-time family home so he could tear it down and build a parking lot for limousines.

And with respect to profit, Trumps history shows that he cares about what profits HIM. He isn't known for his philanthropy, generosity, compassion, or benevolence. He is known for his flamboyance, wealth showmanship, gold faucets and fixtures, etc.

So if wiping some legislation paves the way for more profit for Trump, then it'll likely happen, even if it means some jobs might be created as a byproduct.

If you don't like him, just suspend your disbelief for a few months and give Trump a chance. It's not like MORE regulations would be helping anyone.

One by one, people that go into meetings with Trump are pleasantly surprised by who is he actually is.

And if that monster Clinton had been elected we would all be mandated to drive electric cars powered by rainbow unicorns.

Give the man a break and let him do his job. Frankly he has already helped to create more jobs than Hussein Obama did in a 8 year term of racial division and derision. With jobs comes consumer confidence and more spending which stimulates the economy.

Is he crude and rude -yes in typical New Yorker fashion but he has some very sound ideas, is surrounding himself with the right people and will go down as one of the greatest POTUS. Regan was ridiculed and hated by the Lefty assholes too and by lots of the right when he was first elected and was one of the greats...

Don't confuse TV Trump with President Trump =they are two different people with different agendas. As a Canuck I am envious of your leader. Here we have "Mohammed Trudeau" bankrupting and Islamasizing our country and chasing all our last big companies south of the border with our asinine Carbon tax & green energy policies. Had Clinton won -you'd all be on the same path of lefty libtard destruction only bigger. Feel free to thank all the "deplorables" for your freedom and prosperity.

Seeing him complain about the press and reports of Inauguration attendance figures in front of a wall at the CIA which is used as a place of remembrance to honor of CIA agents who have fallen in the line of duty said it all. ME ME ME. 4 years will not go by fast enough for the US people.

Maybe even more! Now that King Trump is on the throne, that pesky "2-Term Maximum" thing might go away... just as quickly as environmental protection regulations that are "bad for business."

These automakers aren't going to just "cave" & move existing profitable foreign operations to the US w/o some sort of "compromise deal" with the Trump Admin. I initially thought there would be some complex tax deductions or give-backs. But depending on what regulations are "relaxed or thrown out", that'll probably hurt consumers in the end.

Regulations and taxation are in bad need of reform, and Trump has the mandate to sort out the mess created by decades of politicians.
