STUD OR DUD? McLaren's P14 Supercar Leaked Ahead Of Geneva

The McLaren P14 has been leaked on to the internet via @woppum’s Instagram account six weeks before the 650S successor is officially revealed in Geneva.

McLaren’s future Super Series model, which is referred to internally as P14 but is yet to be named, sports a completely new and much sharper front-end design. Its sides feature prominent aerodynamic bodywork, suggesting it will produce more downforce than its predecessor.

McLaren’s familiar side intakes have been ditched for smoother panels, and the car’s roofline is also quite different from that of the outgoing car, thanks to its new Monocage II structure.

I used to think a used 12C would be a great car. I have seen too many videos where a 4 year old example with 15k or 30k miles needs $20k-$35K worth of repairs. A new steering rack should not be required for any car with 15,000 miles. Look elsewhere.

My understanding (from the non-owner sidelines) is that these kinds of shenanigans are not uncommon in exotics with quarter-million-dollar price tags. Like a $10,000 headlight (assembly, not just the bulb).

There are better photos on the web. They are going for the whole headlight air duct look. I am sure it passes through the door and cools the engine or something like that. Have to out do Aston Martin. It will look like someone forgot to install the lens.
