Confirmed: Nissan 350GT-S To Enter Production

The supercharged Nissan 350Z, that was created as a weekend project by a team of Nissan engineers in the UK, has been confirmed for production in a limited run by UK’s Auto Express. Labeled the GT-S edition, the force-fed car will cost £36,000 when it goes on sale later this year and features a dash mounted switch that activates the blower.

The original concept car included a Swiss made Novidem supercharger that increased power by 25 percent, up to 382hp and with torque at 425Nm. Expect the supercharged version to reach 62mph from rest in less than 5 seconds. In addition to the engine work is the electronically controlled exhaust system that adjusts flow depending on engine speed plus a new Bilstein suspension kit suited to European roads that rides on wider wheels and tires. Visually, the modified Z features a wind tunnel tested aero kit developed by German company, Strosek, and unique alloy wheels.

I doubt it since we will be seeing a new body G35 coupe next year anyway! But, the G35 coupe may get this engine package, although i doubt it.

It had to be fun stuffing the plumbing under the hood! They need to be testing one in Nashville for the U.S. market. I know the Z is due for a freshening, but I'm sure the body structure and chassis will remain intact, making engine upgrades on this model carryover.

The 2007 will arrive in dealership in Jan. of 07 and will have the VQ v6 HR motor.That alone will have more torque than the previous 350.Now if we have the opportunity to get the ( gts mated supercharger) I believe that alone will produce more than 400 ponies.Because the one tested at goodwood festival was a previous gen. VQ motor.And not the HR motor.
