CAR WARS! Sibling Rivalry Edition: So, WHICH Ford SVT Raptor Is The FASTEST? EcoBoost 6 vs. V8
If there's one thing I've learned over the years it's just this simple. Truck guys love their vehicles just as much as us car guys. Hell, I've even seem them get converted EACH way.

It's just the way of the world.

These days though there's no question where buyers are heading. They want sport-utility vehicles as well as trucks. Cars have become so passé.

And, just like car nuts, truck freaks want them to be powerful and sporting. While some have attempted to go sporty like cars — lower, wider, faster, etc. — others have kept to their rough and tumble heritage. The best representative of them all?

That would be where the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor comes into play.

But, it's not all roses, folks. Enthusiasts have been griping about the use of an EcoBoost six-cylinder over a more traditional V8. Is it a valid point? Watch the drag race below and let us know what YOU think!

Wait 100,000 miles -and the V-8 will win every time - the Turbo V-6 will already be in the junk yard.

Give me naturally aspirated and displacement over some ecoturbo that will last half as long, be more expensive to maintain, and in the real world will give no MPG advantage.

At 1 mile high the turbo has an even greater advantage. Turbos are pretty nice when going up steep roads over high passes here in the mountains. Also the reliability and durability has increased dramatically over the last 10 years. You can find a lot of turbo cars with well over 100k on them that run just fine.
