SPIED: All-New Pics/Renders Of The FIRST Rolls-Royce SUV, The Cullinan — Is This YOUR Idea Of The MOST Luxurious SUV, Ever?
When it comes to luxury, I will have to put a stake in the sand. No one does it like Rolls-Royce. Sure they're vehicles can be a bit old times, but the reality is that their autos are unlike anything else on the planet.

Every time I drive one I just can't believe how the ride feels. It's that good and isolated.

While I've had the pleasure of motoring around in the Phantom, Phantom Drophead Coupe, Ghost, Wraith and the Dawn, I have yet to be in the British manufacturer's all-new sport-utility vehicle. That's because its being closely guarded. As far as I know there hasn't been any media previews.

Frankly, I have no idea what to expect. I think the same can be said for current Rolls owners and the remainder of the automotive media. I have a feeling the company is going to push the boundaries and I like it.

In these all-new spy shots, it seems like the exterior design will mesh the current-gen Ghost with what appears to be a long-wheelbase Land Rover Range Rover. That means it will be truly massive and have plenty of creature comforts on the inside. I wouldn't expect a seven seater though. I am thinking it will be a 2 + 2 so that every passenger gets the best possible experience.

Even if it looks like a raised Ghost, it is for current owners and not mass consumption. It will be pleasing to them and that is really all that counts. At likely $300k+ USD, they will sell all they can make.

Like the Phantom and the Ghost, this isn't for people with taste.

Of course not - they are for people with Impeccable Taste - and the money to afford it too. People who have to settle for just having "taste" dream of TVRs and Genesises.(They don't even know what real taste is) The Rolls appears to be far more conservative than the Bentley - but I suspect people were waiting to see what the Cullinan would look like before buying either. Add to that - economic conditions around the globe and political uncertainties in the USA and the Middle East (Buy American among others) have lots of people holding back.

But yes - the Bentayga sold out its first year production. There are no cash incentives currently for any current year Bentley. And Rolls - which does not deal in the volume that Bentley does - will also sell out their first year - if it is not already. Is it the MOST luxurious - we will see that when we see the interior. ANd of course that also depends on your definition of "luxury". There are those that consider a Lexus ES a luxury car.

@TomM take your pills. Your dementia is showing. The Bentiguan is NOT "sold out" given stock on hand at dealers without buyers. Manufacturers are NOTORIOUS for pushing stock out to dealers and counting that stock as "sold" when in reality, the stock is not sold to a customer. Some manufacturers--FCA in particular--is guilty of calling vehicles sold when they are moved from the factory to a storage lot.

Not my cup of tea. But then again, they're not looking for my approval.

Hmmm....I suspect it will struggle. Bentayga seems to be off to a slow start.

Hopefully, it shares a platform with a BMW SUV which can amortize the development costs, as this might be a slow seller.

Honda/Toyota rescue can't come soon enough.

Bentayga off to a slow start? Last I checked they sold out their first year global allocation of 3,000 units.

Is that like Tesla Model 3 sales where the company says it has sales?

00R - I wonder where you checked to get those figures? Maybe Bentley 'stuffed the channel'?

If you randomly pick a couple of Bentley dealers' websites in good markets - each dealer has between 4 and 6 $250,000 Bentayga's available for immediate delivery.

At least three NYC area Bentley dealers are sending Spam-emails with "Bentayga lease specials".

Maybe our dealer connection, Mr. Darringer, can find out the 'cash on the hood' on offer for a supposedly 'hot' Bentayga?

I know NOTHING about the cash incentives on the Bentley Bentiguan.
