What Is The Best Car AND Truck Made In The USA Right Now?
One of the most refreshing feelings of the last few years is seeing a bevy of world class cars and trucks being made in the USA.

These aren't the trash rattle box GM's and the Ford's of the 80's/90's/00's with carpets made of and I quote Bob Lutz here, "RAT FUR".

2017 Chicago Auto Show

If you go to a Big 3 dealership these days you can find some really excellent products. Both cars AND trucks.

You all know me as a guy who loves German rides but my last few purchases have been domestic products.

Wrangler Unlimited, Ford F-150 King Ranch and my latest purchase, the 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

And dare I say with the huge discounts out there, the Trailhawk loaded with every possible S-class style option at a low 40's street price, could be the BEST SUV out there for that price range.

Even more amazing, not one of those purchases have yet to have ANY issues outside of computer flash upgrades.

That used to be unheard of for a long time.

Howbow Dah?

So the American car companies have come a long way.

Our question is...What are YOUR choices for the BEST car and suv/truck made in the USA right now???

Post your pick and tell us WHY they made your best of list.

And do you own one or considering making a purchase in 2017?

It is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to answer that question since the definition of the word "best" depends on what a customer wants and who the customer is.

Probably the best TRUCK out there made in America is the Peterbilt 587. Still the highest quality - the Paccar Engines are as reliable as any - and still the King of the Road. A "truck" is made for Hauling goods - and nothing beats a Peterbilt for that.

The best CAR that was made in America is the NEW Cadillac Presidential Limousine. There is NO OTHER car on the road that has ALL of the features of that car at any price - especially the safety features! Name one other car that can protect its occupants in a Bomb Blast! (Except for the prior replaced "Beast"s - which do not have all the new - secret - features) While it may not "handle" like a BMW - or go as fast - it WILL get you there in places where the BMW will end up in burnt pieces.

Tough question. American trucks are pretty darned good. I've put many miles in our heavy duty Ram haulers and love them. You can drive 1K miles one way and emerge without feeling tired. The F150 and the GM twins are truly excellent not to mention tremendous values. I'm really liking the Ford Super Duty currently.

As for the best American car, that's easy for me: Lincoln Continental. Mind you, I adore the CTSV and it is a stunner, but as luxury cars go, the Lincoln is simply better at coddling. I also think the Mustang and Camaro are hard to beat, but in the end, the Continental is quite lovely.
