Millennials Take Top Honors For Being The Worst Drivers On The Road

Risky driving behavior — including texting, running red lights and speeding — account for Millennials winning the dubious honor of being the worst drivers in the U.S., a new safety study says.

I dunno. I'm not ready to jump on the "Hate The Millennials" (or anyone else) bandwagon. I'd be interested in reviewing the raw data and research methodology itself, the peer reviews, etc., rather than just swallowing the "Executive Summary" pill as The Holy Gospel. There's a lot of well-intentioned "misinformation" floating around.

This appears to have been a division of AAA so I'd hope they vetted the report internally.

However after witnessing my 16 and 19 year olds, browse on a pc, do homework, with the TV while texting... I can see truth in the survey

Yes - that is the point - it is not a particular generation - it is the age of the drivers involved. Since vehicle statistics show reduced accidents on the road - over the last century - I would bet the millenials are not even the worst group ever.

We need to make the driver's cell phone be a total brick if the car is not stopped and in park.
