It's the car that looks odd. Not the color that makes it look that way. The yellow just brings out otherwise less obvious design oddities. Kinda like the Bangle-era 5-series "looking better in black" (yeah, because it makes some of the design weirdness less glaring).

I might be in the minority, but I really liked the E60 5 series. The E60 M5 might be the best looking BMW ever made in my humble opinion. It still looks fresh even when you see one today, which can't even be said about the "all new 5 series".
