2018 Cadillac CT6 Gets Selection Of New Goodies
Cadillac is preparing to subtly update the Cadillac CT6 for the 2018 model year by adding a number of new features, according to a recently published ordering guide from GM Authority.

For the latest model year, it is reported that Cadillac will fit its range-topping sedan with an automatic heated steering wheel and auto-ventilated front seat functionality.

Additionally, the Platinum trim model will receive an illuminated trunk sill plate from the factory as well as a leather-wrapped driver-side airbag cover. The 2018 CT6 will also benefit from an updated CUE infotainment system now running version 2.6.

A reduction to CTS pricing would be a nice goodie...

Matt - The actual out of the dealership costs of the CTS and the CT6 are already probably lower than the current C-class and E-class. I have come to believe that price is not the determination - the cars are simply packaged wrong and look too old to compete. Local dealerships are falling over each other to offer lower prices. And this CANNOT mean anything good for resale values either.

The CTS sell pretty well with a $15K discount though.

For the most part - the "new" goodies are not all that exciting. The fact is - Cadillac stuck with the Arts and Science styling TOO long - and now the cars look old. Add in - curious decisions regarding sizing and packaging and Cadillac is simply not a "desired" option for most (And I have a CT6)

There was a time when I thought that moving each of the current cars down a level in pricing - the ATS to compete with the CLA - the CTS to compete with the 3/4 series - and the CT6 to compete with the E class would be the best option. But it is far too late. Cadillac needs new styling AND a complete line of SUV/CUVs to start up again. OR - it needs a KILLER range topper - with very unique styling. Maybe if they took the current ATS and sold it at the CLA prices - and did a mid-term substantial work over to let the ATS compete better - that might work. Otherwise - while I really love the CT6 - most people don't even know what it is.
