#GIMS2017: TEASED! Mercedes-Benz Gives Us Just A GLIMPSE Of What's Coming To Geneva
As of today, Mercedes-Benz has given us the gift of essentially the entire E-Class portfolio. That includes the all-new E Coupe and AMG variants from the E43 to the E63.

So, now what? Duh. It's time for the convertible.

Expected to follow very closely to its coupe sibling, the all-new E Convertible is likely to go up against the BMW 6-Series. As we've seen with other Mercedes models, the E-Class' tech will be carried over; however, we wager that Mercedes will surprise with some fancy, all-new gizmo.

Recall with the last-gen E Cabriolet the company introduced AirCap, which was a protrusion from the top of the windshield to direct air over occupants head. It will be interesting to see if that makes it to the all-new E or if it gets killed.

At the time of this writing, details are mum as the three-pointed star did not issue a complementary release. So, we'll just have to wait until Geneva to see the full banana. Expect more teasers in the coming days.

The E Class is by far the best of the German trio in the size class. In fact, it's the only one of the 3 really worth considering.

While the E is a little more conservative than I'd hope, it certainly has a timeless design, one that will last for decades to come

With only a 4 cyl engine w lackluster power and vinyl seating it certainly appears that "luxury" is changing. The coupe is really a 2 seater to boot. I know more power is coming but at what price? And "timeless design" when nearly every car you make looks almost identical? And then the prices? Count me out! These cars are not that good and not a good value either. Give me a W124 or W126, now that's timeless luxury

Funny...your clone account named "W124..." loves that series too as he/she/you should it was iconic but read up, the most popular engines for that model were 4 cylinder petrols and diesels too.

Oh and let us know when your clone W124 will join us I'm certain he/she/you will be commenting and boosting you soon...atleast give him a bit more character and intellect though...just sayin

actually, for the first time in decades, the E cab. is actually built on the E sedan platform, so there will be improved rear passenger room; this will be an instant classic, and a great car. A significant improvement over the current E cab which was still built on the C platform.

C4L - GFY! There is no question Mercedes has a pedigree that is unrivaled and their marketing keeps the star on top. Their upper limit is continues to push and that trickles down to the mainstream cars that pay the bills. But $65K for an E w/a 4 cyl and vinyl interior, if that was a Cadillac your comments would explode. The E is an icon, but even icons change and it is a lovely car but not a good value. Everything else you say, again GFY!

Mercedes interior design and quality out does even the Aston Martins.

Aston Martin is an Exotic with the pedigree complete. Mercedes - is still a mass produced Luxury car. Comparing the two misses the point. They really do not compete with each other.

having said that - Matt is correct - the E-class is the clear leader - way ahead of the others directly in that class.

Aston Martin's interior "pedigree" has usually involved using switchgear from bottom-end Fords. Now Aston Martins are Mercedes with Aston styling pretty much.
