Buyers Continue To Flock To Audi Showrooms In February - Sales Up 17.3%
Audi achieved its best February sales in the U.S., marking the 74th straight monthly record. The previous February record was set last year with 11,718 vehicles sold. Through the first two months of 2017, Audi U.S. sales have risen 14 percent to 26,942 vehicles.

February sales were bolstered by demand for SUVs, which rose 36 percent over last February and 28 percent year-to-date. The Q5 was the volume leader with 3,294 vehicles sold, an increase of 36 percent. Sales of the Q7 rose 50 percent over last year to 2,477 vehicles. The Q3 posted 1,103 sales for the month, an increase of 12 percent.

“SUVs now make up 50 percent of our sales volume, so we are excited about the launch of the all-new Q5 this spring,” said Mark Del Rosso, chief operating officer, Audi of America. “We are optimistic that this new model will build on the success of its predecessor and attract new fans to the Audi brand.”

Sales of Audi sedan models remained strong in February, as they continued to counter an industry move away from sedans. A4 sales increased 30 percent to 2,377 vehicles. A6 sales rose 3 percent to 1,094 vehicles. The A7 recorded 471 deliveries in February, an increase of 10 percent from last year. The A8 posted 251 sales for the month, an increase of 15 percent.

A3 Sportback e-tron sales rose 61 percent to 400 vehicles, the second-best sales month for the plug-in hybrid. The A4 allroad posted a sales increase of 37 percent for the month with 170 deliveries.

Congrats Audi for another successful month.
It's even more impressive that only 2 models did not increase in sales (A5 and TT). Even the A8 somehow found new buyers (still nothing close to what the S Class #'s will likely be).
I'm curious to see what the total sales numbers will be for the A5 when the new A5 Sportback goes on sale.
I'm sure this will be another record year for Audi.

Another spectacular month for Audi. The old and outdated Q5, which is just 3 months from being replaced, saw its sales rise 36% for the month and is up 36% YTD.

Even the Q3, while somewhat new to the U.S. market, is the same SUV that's been on sale in Europe for years and is built on Audi's old platform and lacks the latest technology features was up 11% for the month and 21% YTD.

The new Q7 is continuing to prove very popular with its sales rising nearly 50% for the month and 22% YTD. The new A4 is also proving successful with sales up 30% for both the month and YTD.

When Audi's oldest models that are set to be replaced in 3 months and newest models are achieving impressive sales growth like this, it's very clear the brand has very solid momentum.

74 straight months of monthly sales records for Audi is absolutely incredible and the feat is made even more impressive given that the streak has continued this year before the new A5 Coupe and Sportback models and new Q5 SUV go on sale.

This is very impressive considering that a significant portion of their lineup is at the end of model cycle (Q5, Q3, A/S5, A6, A7, S4). Once this new product hits the market they should do even better...BMW especially has a lot to be worried about because Audi's cars are dynamically as good as the new softened BMWs, and the interiors are a mile ahead. Mercedes right now is also killing it. BMW is in trouble, and you can see this each time they try to dial back lease incentives their sales dive.
