Mercedes $2.4 Million F1 Powered Hypercar Engine Will Only Last 30,000 Miles
The radical Aston Martin Valkyrie made a grand appearance at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, but we still have to wait until the Frankfurt Auto Show in September for the reveal of its main rival: the mighty Mercedes-AMG Project One. But that didn’t stop some juicy details about the mysterious hypercar emerging. We now know that only 275 examples will be produced, each costing $2.4 million. No big deal considering the vast majority of these will sit in collections gathering more dust than miles!

Sounds a bit like a MP4-12C with 35k on it that needed something like $25,000 in maintenance/repairs. Parts were worn out, if you can believe it.
There is a video on YouTube about it. Nutty. Spy before you buy!

$2.4M to drive 31K miles seams reasonable enough. That is only $77.42 per mile -chump change if I dock the Ferretti and leave the BBJ in the hangar and my mistresses in NYC, Paris, LA, London, Miami, Madrid....

These cars will never be driven 3,000 miles, let alone 30,000.

Assuming the engine work costs $100K, that's only 4% of the purchase price. About the same as spending $1200 for maintenance on a $30,000 car.

Different worlds...wish I was in that one.
