I believe that Aston missed their window - with the new Phantom coming out from Rolls this coming year - and the S600 Maybach and the Bentley Mulsanne as competition. Since I expect even this lofty range to reduce in sales due to SUV competition - and this has already started with the Musanne - if Aston had done this about three years ago - they might have gotten sales results. But - now they are better off making an SUV.

Let's examine here. The head of AM is running around the world telling us about the HUGE unprecedented new range of AM cars and presumably SUV's that are coming down the line in the near future. I am beginning to wonder if everyone is forgetting that the DB11 is the swan song AM. If they sell as many of them as they need too to finance the future promised product range, every single neighborhood on the planet will have a DB11 in their midst. The DB11 can not possibly finance the enormous investment required to produce the largest range of Aston Martin products in the company's history. I think the AM President is a fine example of someone that desperately wants to make his mark and in so doing will be the final independent president of AM. Reminds me of the chap that one meets at the club, new clothing, best golf clubs, brand new car, shiny all gold watch, and all kinds of conversation about his recent business home runs. Come to find out the gent has his house in receivership and the kids are tossed from Eaton for lack of their tuition payment... the plans are big, the ideas grand, the bank account is empty... Automotive Ponzi in front of our eyes.

You forget that Mercedes is "cooperating" Aston Martin into submission. Reskin Mercedes products and add on 25% on the asking price. Practically ZERO product development cost.
