Audi Confirms Q4 Coupe Crossover In 2019
Audi confirmed it will launch its Q4 in 2019 as the brand continues to expand in the hot-selling SUV/crossover market.

The coupe-styled SUV/crossover will challenge models such as the upcoming BMW X2 and the Range Rover Evoque.

"We offered a preview of this type of vehicle with the Audi TT offroad concept study three years ago," Audi CEO Rupert Stadler told reporters on Wednesday here during the automaker's annual earnings news conference.

The Q4 will be a niche model positioned between the Q3 and Q5 volume SUVs, whose volumes last year amounted to 232,045 and 278,968 vehicles, respectively.

I'd rather see them repurpose the TT into a 4 door coupe sedan crossover than doing a Q3 with a more claustrophobic top.

Dated looking and not even in production. Who thinks the TT is the basis for a sub brand of styling, are they stuck in 1998? we have been looking at that basic style for 19+ years... Enough, move on, style something new, there are no iconic Audi design cues. The TT is certainly not going down in history as the car to have from the 1990's, in volume, style or engineering. So even if it were, have we not moved on with every other product from the 1990's... do the Audi board members wear 20 year old ties to work and praise them too?

Just stop. The whole auto industry need to stop. Put it down. Turn around. And walk away from the coupe SUV idea and never mention it or build it ever again.
