If you asked me five years ago, I probably would have never thought that certain automakers would build sport-utility vehicles. Now, they are. 

Take, for example, the Maserati Levante, the Jaguar F-Pace, the Bentley Bentayga and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. 

The automotive world has changed and buyers are moving away from sedans. They want SUVs. So, the manufacturers are listening. But if you haven't piloted the Maserati Levante you must be like me, left wondering: What is an Italian SUV like?

Let's hope Alfa-Romeo figures out their build quality glitches and can iron out reliability. Early Giulias have a lot of teething problems.

That's unfortunate, the Giulia is good looking and from all reports good driving car. Hopefully they sort out any issues quickly (and update their infotainment system as well). Most of the second tier carmakers seem to be making good strides in quality, maybe not totally there yet but certainly knocking on the door pretty loudly...

The most glaring problem that I have heard is with their "stop/start system that cuts off the engine and then restarts it. There have been
problems with the engine not restarting. If it were me I would simply disengage it after I started the car. Jaguar XE's seem to have problems with their infotainment systems. As long as I can hear the radio and change channels I'm perfectly good. Sometimes on my Fiat when I am backing out of a driveway my infotainment system will not turn on until I put the car in drive.
