If Tesla's Next Gen Roadster Looks Like THIS, Would You Be First In Line With A Deposit?

Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a rare and welcomed reference to the next generation Roadster last month after the upcoming vehicle was surprisingly left out of Musk’s product plan last year. He confirmed that the vehicle is still planned, but “a few years away”.

In the meantime, designers are attempting to envision what the vehicle could look like based on the original Tesla Roadster and the automaker’s evolving design language. Today, we might be looking at the most impressive one yet.

Looks good but God, I wish Tesla would figure out their whole front end design. It always looks like the car has a grille that is hidden under shrunk wrapped plastic.

It just takes a while to get used to since the grill-less design is completely different than any other car on the road. The Model S with the new grill I think looks a lot better than the "fake" grill on the original car. It is super clean and other EVs are already starting to imitate the design.

I've been trying to get used to it since the beginning and it still looks like they just didn't expend the extra effort to finish the grille area. I'm not saying it should have a traditional grille like a car that needs to breath but it still looks unresolved to me.

The styling of the car in the photoshop is confused and jumbled looking.

Dump the duck lips on this and all models.

These were a huge debate with all of my coworkers, most people hated them. It looks like they toned them down a bit based on the latest release candidates.

If I did, I don't think I would be allowed to post here.

Based on what a "few" years is in TESLA Speak - even if I wanted to purchase one - it is likely I will be dead first. However - I am not in the business of loaning money for no return either. Tesla is close to the highest valued Car manufacturer in the USA - so they can give me interest on a long term deposit - or they would have to wait until THEY actually sell the car.

They will build it and it will become the cool ride for the Hollywood jet set. It won't be cheap either. 1.5 seconds to 60 I would think in Plaid mode. In black it could be your own personal Batmobile. It's real when it is useful.... :)

Very nice, Tesla should think about buying this design, or hiring this designer!

A signature front end, I wouldn't change it.
