I was about to say something nasty, and then I realized that every iPhone comes out of China, as do a low-end Denon A/V products.

If Volvo can get respectable fit and finish and few defects, then "Made in China" will surely save them a bundle in labor costs.

BobM: So I take it you're cool with U.S. automakers moving their *assembly* plants to Mexico and overseas, because their cars would still be "Made in USA" (just "assembled" somewhere else). Cool.

And BobM, did you realize you wrote a page-long diatribe arguing against something you imagined?

I wrote "...every iPhone COMES OUT OF China..." (emphasis added here), while you *imaged* I had written "all the components of an iPhone are manufactured in China," and then commenced to ridicule me for suggesting that, and then you argued against that. Truly eye-brow raising.

This was inevitable with Gheely taking over ownership over Volvo.

Geely was brilliant to buy Volvo for the name and sell Geelys as Volvos.
