It's Coming! Audi Trademarks All-New Nameplate For A HOT Q8 — Is This Exciting To YOU?
If we all put our heads together and think real hard about why, we might be able to come up with reasoning behind some of Audi’s latest trademark applications.

The trademarks, filed in Europe and Canada, are filed under the tantalizing name of “SQ8” in the vehicle and conveyance classification. The European application is currently pending, but does indicate that Audi is making good on its promise to make the Q8 sporty.

The Q8 is Audi’s new halo SUV, designed to wed the lines of a coupe to a high-riding SUV body. Although the sporty SUV has been in the works since at least 2015, the concept version was first shown at the Detroit Auto Show early this year...

Given Audi's SUV success, the Q8 will be a very strong competitor to BMW's X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe.

The Q8 will combine an aggressive design with Audi's famous interior quality and cutting edge technology. The performance of the SQ8 will be strong as well.

I appreciate all the redundant shots because it drives how just how ugly their crap pile is.

The idea of a powerful performance coupe-SUV ABSOLUTELY gets my attention. One that looks like the one in the picture, not so much.

I love my first gen Audi Q5. I got it 2 years ago, back in the days (2015) when some Audis had Porsche-like curves, and during a short period where the lights weren't overly-stylized or looking like they came from a VW parts bin. I love my Q5! Sadly, nothing that Audi makes today makes me want it. I'm sure that's not true for everyone else, though.

Not sold on the rear design.

Kinda figured this was coming considering the warm welcome the Bentley Bentayga received. A need to spread R&D costs. But the rear end is just too "basic" for what they're gonna price this model at.

I really like it perfect for me in and out. Great competitor for the X6.

That grill looks like Hannibel Lecter's face mask in "The Silence of the Lambs".

Dunno if I like the prison bar look of the front grill...
