Audi offers US customers European Delivery in Ingolstadt

Audi has been investing heavily into "the Audi experience", creating a brand identity revolving around and beyond its products. Now the company has joined the league of luxury automakers that offers a European delivery program.

European delivery programs offered by German and Swedish carmakers allow North American customers to fly to the factory in Europe to take delivery of their car personally. The option can save several thousand dollars off the price of the car, more than enough to pay for the trip. While there, customers can tour the factory, then drive their car around Europe before having it shipped back to North America. You get a cheap vacation in Europe and a cheaper car. In launching their own program, Audi joins Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Saab and Volvo in offering their customers the package.

I went to Ingolstadt this summer. It was excellent. I have seen many audis and also auto unions.

I can't help it; you are SUCH a hipocrite. Defend Lexus when people call them "rebadged Toyotas", but you bash Audi for being based on VW platforms (and by the way, the A4, A6 and A8 aren't)?

Are you buying it in Sprint Blue? You must. At first I was concerned that it would be too garish- but I haven't gotten tired of it, and the color is a perfect balance of youth and class.

One of my partners in my firm likes the color of my Cabriolet so much that he's trading in his '04 A6 4.2 for a brand-new fully-loaded Sprint Blue S4 sedan!

Calling an Audi a VW is in no way a slight against Audi. VW, Audi and Porsche have ties that go far back and continue to today. Whatever you may think about VW, it is one of the most popular and successful car brands ever.

i will definately be getting the next RS6 this way..have a little fun with it on the autobahn..sort of wish i had gotten my S6 this way..
