Lack Of Confidence? Nissan To Roll Out New Titan In Only 4 Markets

Nissan invested a lot of money when it completely redesigned the Titan, but so far sales figures haven’t been as strong as hoped. According to Automotive News, Nissan is about to roll out a new Titan sales strategy to reverse that slowdown, and it’s pretty radical. Instead of pushing sales at Nissan dealerships across the US, the automaker will focus its Titan marketing and distribution efforts in just four truck-loving cities:

Title is a little "click-bait".

Nissan is focusing marketing to four cities while remapping distribution to take advantage.

This does not show lack of confidence, besides possibly in the Advertising Agency Nissan contracted for this vehicle.

The Tundra may not sell as well as the F150, but it sells well enough to be competition. Nissan did NOT put a lot of money into the new Titan. It is essentially the old truck with minor upgrades and new styling. The Titan was not all new. Sales are bad because it's a terrible truck.

Even though we know better - many Americans still associate "RAM" with made in the usa - which they are in Warren Michigan - or not as in Mexico - however - the full size truck market is one place where the Americans wave their Flags - and the idea of driving a foreign truck is not a consideration for many. That the American Trucks cater to the desires of the American Marketplace only helps them even more.

Nissan might sell more trucks if it took the Nissan name off the trucks and just called them "Titan" - same with Toyota - since both trucks were designed in AMerica and are assembled in the USA as well. IF they advertised that - it might help sales -
