WHITE Or BLUE, What's Agent 00R To Do? What Say You?

WHITE Or BLUE, What's Agent 00R To Do? What Say You?
OK, so, it's been quite a long time since I put down the coin and placed my order for an all-new BMW M2. For those who haven't been counting the days, like me, this was back on January 23.

Well, with every day we get closer to the start of the vehicle's production. That means I have until the start to make changes to the build.

So far I've only added the Executive Package and added the gloss black front kidney grilles. Although I've recently decided to stick with the stock chrome kidney grilles, I have a bigger problem.

To be straightforward, the colors for the BMW M2 suck. The choices come down to a fearsome foursome:

- Alpine White (AW)
- Black Sapphire Metallic (BSM)
- Long Beach Blue (LBB)
- Mineral Grey (MG)

I opted for white but when I recently had a press loaner for a few days to remind myself why I took the plunge, I don't think the white really shows the "pop" of the rear fenders. This had me second guessing my decision to go against the blue.

That said, I wanted to turn to the Spies for their help: WHITE or BLUE, what say YOU?

Its been ages and ages since cars have been offered in shades of real blue. Obvious choice.

I'm a big fan of blues. I've owned white, yellow, green, silver... but that last two are blue. I believe my next will be blue as well. Just my two cents.

But my advice to '00R: Get the color YOU want most! You're not here to please others :-)

Sorry - but although I simply no longer have the desire to maintain the appearance of a white car - which only looks cleaned right after you clean it - the choice of color is yours. I will not be blamed for a perpetually dirty white - or a Blue that fades.

@TomM White cars don't show dirt.

TomM: I had a Montreal Blue BMW 328 for 18 years. It never faded.

Paint fading depends very much on the quality of the paint, which is typically (but not guaranteed to be) in-line with the brand making the car.

White, everything else black.

Blue, not a fan of white. But I wish BMW would step up and give us a nice, fire-breathing red or orange option.

Sorry to say the 2 Series just doesn't look great in any color. But for the M2, I'd choose blue.

Toothpaste blue? Um, no thanks.

Pearl white is stunning on the right car but I haven't seen that color for over 30 years and lastly on a Ruf 911 Turbo slant nose targa that a buddy had.

Blue, but White is easier to keep looking clean (had 2 white cars, could go 3-4 months without washing them)

I got my 2017 M2 in January after ordering it in October 2016. I have Long Beach Blue, and love it. I bought it with the stock grills, but ordered grills from IND with M color gills on the left and Long Beach blue grill surrounds. Looks great. The rest is fully stock aside from M puddle lamps. Go for the blue.
